Organisational Culture
Culture is a collective of individual behaviors that have become the accepted "norm".
If these behaviors align with your organisation's values, the culture is in alignment.
Some good examples are illustrated in Torben Rick's iceberg model, "shared values", above the line, but then if you look below the water line, the unseen or unwritten value is really "cost ".
You've seen it too I'm sure - the values on the wall in reception (professionalism, respect, trust, integrity, etc) go out the window when cost or product decisions are at stake. This is misalignment. When employees witness this or worse - are expected to become part of it, this is where trust is broken and apathy, low engagement sets in.
