Price, Cost, Value

Price, cost and value are often used interchangeably but they are not the same thing:

  • Cost is the amount you spend to produce a product or service
  • Price is the financial reward for providing the product or service
  • Value is depends entirely on the customer’s viewpoint and represents their perception of the benefit of the product or service to them.
